Just installed steam,hl,ns on my bro's windows 7 and I'm getting this error "Steam validation rejected" (STFU ABOUT THE G IN THE TOPIC LOL :D)

The fixes I've found for it just say:
Put the number 70 inside
steamapps>user>half-life>steam_appid.txt

But I already have the number 70 there...

How can I fix this?

delete clientregistry.blob, restart steam, let it update and try again (it takes pretty much for a shitty file, but it's like that).

if the clientregistry.blop thing doesnt work also delete Steam.dll and SteamUI.dll all these three worked for me once when i had a similar prob !

if your english you dont have to make the point of spelling english correctly , if your not english and your speaking/typing in english then you must spell correctly because your making the fucking effort. Thats my excuse anyway whats yours tom? :D

so yeh, i rebooted about 5 times.. it fixed it. wasn't a giantfudgistry.brap problem, eistee, don't even pretend you know anything about life other than alcohol and sleeping with strangers.. stop saying random file names it just makes you look like a bigger fool :P
