my issue and response. i'm sorry to the admins if this is not considered polite since issues are private, but i felt the need to include this in my appeal since this is a public matter, as I will state again, my whole team (including an ENSL Admin) was complicit in what happened in that gather. I was not the only player frustrated and complaining about dixit's behavior.

Realize that these new players don't understand all the etiquette to Gathers, but they also should not be forced into roles and be insulted throughout the Gather for nothing more than being new to competitive NS2.
basically youre implying that if i'm alien commander and I pick lome and schu for fade, but dixit over here WANTS To fade I cant deny him that opportunity? why is dixit allowed to subject the whole team to an unfun round because he's being obstinate about what role he WANTS to play. I put him in a situation where he can do ANYTHING HE WANTED (LITERALLY ANY LIFEFORM) so I do not think I was in no way shape or form "forcing him into a role"

this was after we FINALLY (after 5 minutes at least) got him into the hive and started the round, we then ejected him so he wouldn't ruin the start: wasting TRES by dropping random structures, cysting the map or upgrading the wrong hive. He responded by just standing there afk while everyone else played. I typed ready since I'm not going to play a round with one baby refusing to play and not "LISTENING TO HIS TEAMMATES" (ENSL RULE #7).
His PROTEST was boils down to complaining about losing 1 PRES (you start with 15, when you go gorge and drop 2 tunnels it costs 8+3+3 which is 14 PRES) I eliminated that WHOLE PROBLEM by getting him to start in the hive, he STARTS as a SKULK and stays as a SKULK until he gets enough PRES for whatever desired lifeform he wants. just like he would if we assigned him 0 roles and he just went straight onos/fade/lerk, except with 15 less pres. he was NEVER going to command and we were NEVER Forcing him into a undesirable role.
in my complaint dixit violated the following gather rules:
7. Listen to your teammates. (in my gather)
then these two in the next gather (what bauer is reffering to)
8. Do not join a new gather when you are already in one.
11. Join the ENSL TeamSpeak + NS2 Server in less than 10 Min.
dixit probably cited this rule:
10. Players can't be forced to be commander, but if you're the current commander of your NSL team or if you're known as a commander, please specify you don't want to com in the Gather chat beforehand.
but as i stated before i was not FORCING HIM to be a commander.

I was INCREDIBLY patient with dixit, i REALIZED he was a new player and I PICKED HIM SPECIFICALLY OVER MUFF (a player who I am familiar with and have done this gorge comm strategy before without complaint) to try and have EVEN TEAMS. I wanted a good GATHER GAME and I was willing to take the lesser skilled/experienced players to try and have balanced teams. please talk to CABOOBLE who i captain'd against (common theme late night gathers has been to vote commanders as captains) and in teamspeak we were discussing which players to pick to have EVEN TEAMS.
the reason gathers are fun is because they're DEMANDING of players to employ certain strategies to beat the enemy. this is why i was getting dixit to sac his starting 15 pres
what im asking for here isnt a complete REMOVAL of my ban, you're actually correct in some regard that i might have stepped over the line regarding dixit, maybe I should have let sephy handle the issue, WHO WHEN I ASKED TO DEAL WITH THIS PROBLEM AND DELAY OF GATHER, he responded with "I DO NOT HAVE ADMIN HERE" basically insinuating that he would have kicked/readyroomed/whatever dixit for violating rule #7 (7. Listen to your teammates.).
anyways I'm okay with a (1) DAY Ban but 3 days is absolutely unacceptable, i was not MALICIOUSLY targetting dixit, on marine round i had no problems with him (he actually shot quite well) but when it came to the alien half he was completely unresponsive, uninterested in working with his team.
