This thread is for the sole purpose of making season 6 a great experience for everyone, by giving the NSL admins feedback of the community's desires.

Please tell anything you would desire of the coming season, but please keep it fairly brief and your ideas in point form. You can take others ideas and support them by adding them to your list and you can set opposing ideas by adding them to your list, but make a seperate thread if discussion is needed. Keep this thread clean, so it's easier for the admins to distinguish ideas/desires.

Any off-topic, trolling, etc. will be deleted as it serves the admins no good.

Let me start off by telling what I would like to see:

- A newspost with all the matches/casts/predictions(if any), EVERY week, like in previous seasons. I'm sure other people than Zefram, who doesn't have alot of time on his hands as it seems, could help. Ask people to help you, whenever needed. (Pelargir, tudy, others?). Small and simple(look at season 3 newsposts), no need to write an entire page every week.

- More strict schedule, so we can progress to other tournaments in a timely manner. (Compare Season 3 and Season 5) This way the majority of the teams(the ones getting knocked out in group play) are not left without official matches for too long.

- Re-ban editing/removing viewmodels or at the very least edit the rules to show that it is okay to edit/remove them.

- Start the LADDER at the same week the playoffs begin, to keep the official matches going after the group play! (Vindaloo, simple?)

everything you say sounds logical and good except the viewmodel thing, but who can change that things?

One thing i'm wondering about is, Why is only Zefram doing the posts? Is there a hidden rule that nobody else can post? Or they just dont have the time? If that's the case i'm wondering why?

Edit: i had to check actually, and out of 36 posts in 2014, 30 of them has been written by Zefram, i smell something fishy about this, and i stand my point about a hidden rule...

Why ppl can't post news except for Zefram? This is bullshit ! Thx Zefram for being AFK. But when you don't make anything, thats time to leave your job (and everything which comes with) to others sweety ;)

Oh and btw for the comp :
- Why no one use FT in comp ?
- Why no one use nades ?
Myb there is some balance to do on those stuffs. We got weapons no one use cause this is bullshit. Why can't we pickup nades ? Why GL does 220 dps while FT does 186? I mean ok devs just nerfed GL...Ok but still no one using FT or nades. What is a point about developping weapons no one will use cause their are just useless IG ?

For example, if com could drop nades, myb we could see some nades while pushing hives....

Well I remember Titus getting down a hive with nerve gas grenades during the world championship.

But yeah, even in pub I find that grenades are not use very much, quite costly too maybe to prevent the nade spam.

I think nerve gas doesn't stack dmg. I mean, if there is 30 nerve gas, still the same dps on armor than only having 1. Just kick the cluster nade and let com drops nerve and emp nades. Let also ppl pickup those nades when ppl with it die...

Well seems like EVERYONE completely misunderstood this topic. This topic is NOT for discussion, this is ONLY for concrete ideas/desires for the coming season, listed in point form to make ideas/desires distinguishable, just like the first post that I made. The other topic is filled with discussions of different things, which should have no place here! But apparently people are unable to read and/or understand. :P

In other words, this topic is far from a doublet, please follow the topic rules from here on out!

- Let people from the staff post news. Not only zefram
- Balance FT
- Be able to pickup back nades
- Let the com drop nades

- Stop fucking the game with compmod

I would like to full activity into the summer after season 6 because "ns2 is dead over the summer" is always a big mistake and quite frankly a lie.

Skyice, when did you stop being a troll? This is a good idea.

I want us to try out the ladder. It sounds like an interesting idea and I think it could work.

i agree time to test the ladder system this season or find a way for teams to join in or move up down in divisons in the middle of the season.

the old system suck some of the new teams are much stronger than others, +1 Ladder to avoid the STATIC STOMP AGE

As you can see in this topic and the other topic that you guys made, there is alot of support for it. I would say enough to try and make it happen. It would fit perfectly as the "main" contest during the off-season and holiday periods and it would compliment the seasons tremendously.

A ladder is in it's very nature much less time restricted compared to the season, which fits the usual long "summer break" perfectly. I really think you should go for it, it would keep the game alive in the periods where the regular season is not there to provide official games for the teams. The great thing about a ladder is that people would also be able to make mixed teams and just jump back in on the action, if their main teams are lacking players due to holidays/etc and have folded from the ladder. Would also serve as a great open field test for new teams of any strength to test themselves for the upcoming season.
