First post HYPE HYPE.
Hi everyone, I dont know about you but i enjoy watching prem div match and with godar out of the game this means less match and less enjoyement. So i thought to keep it intresting in the next season why not use some Champions league rule for group matchs?
We could have a week where team A play there first leg match on a server team B choose and vice versa for the next week. This means we double the round play and should have at least 1 prem div match every weekend to keep up with others leagues pace.
What do you guys think?

Premier division is dead.
There are a few options assuming Titus and 2ez stay alive.
1. Titus vs 2ez every week.
2. Bump up a few div 1 teams into prem div and hope they can not get stomped (virtual dejection style)
3. Force disband Titus and 2ez to disperse those players in div 1 teams.
1. Must be a bit boring in the long term
2. They getting stomped
3. Im sure some Prem div players would have problems to play on a lower level
In the end its your choice (prem div players)
some prem divs want to play on their highest possible level and won't go to lower div teams. A ladder system is probably the best way to go here even though I am not sure how to do it properly

Although, I'm not sold that it'll convince more people to play, we actually do have people working on a ladder system, to be integrated into the website, for next season in case the league system becomes untenable due to the lack of teams.
In the past (NS1), ladder systems done with the NSL haven't been too successful. People are notoriously terrible at setting up their own matches, even evident with the league system, and need a more formal schedule of play.

The influx of new players is so low, might as well try a ladder as season 7 is looking pretty unlikely/dead

@skyice Yeah, the influx of new players is pretty damn low, but that doesn't really mean that it's over after the next season or two. The seasons have pretty much had a steady decline in players since the first one, so nothing as drastic as what you say will actually happen. Sure it gets smaller and smaller and at some point we will only have a few divisions left, but as long as there are teams, there should be seasons, imo. When we reach below 10 teams worldwide, we can begin talking about the game actually dying soon, still seems far from that point. And there are lots of things that can be done to extend/regain the interest of players, or heck, even get some influx of new players. That responsibility rest on all of our shoulders, not only the admins, though they should play a big part in such things.
I don't think a ladder is any form of solution to this, as Zefram said, they tend to quickly become inactive because teams tend to not schedule their matches unless there is a fairly strict schedule. The end is something that is inevitable for any game, but it's not looking like it's going to be any time soon for this one, even if the entire premier division should stop playing.
I do however think that a ladder could supplement the season and off-season. To not make it almost identical to the season, you could reset it when the group play of the season ends and most teams don't have any officials matches in their binoculars, which is the exact reason why many teams go inactive.

nobody cares about the game dying... if you wanna stop playing, pls do so quietly.
nothing's more annoying than all those people constantly complaining about how the game is gonna die and having sand in their pussies. just go if you're gonna go, thx

I think there is some really goods players playing on low divisions as carry.. :D
I just want to say that if these peoples regroup, they could maybe do another division 1 team or maybe a prem team !
