Are you a high skill div2/div1 team? Do you want to play NS2 more often? Do you want to have a testing ground for those wacky tactics you've wanted to try for a while? Do you crave a team to play against regularly?
TAWmageddon may be the team for you, we are relatively low skill, we want to play and don't care against who, we want to improve, and more importantly we play 5 nights a week Monday, Tuesday & Thursday @ 20:00 CEST and Sundays and wednesdays @ 21:15 CEST.
Feel free to contact myself or Absurdon on steam to book a slot, you can also book permanent slots where you will have the joy of stomping us on the same night every week*... so come on down and book your slots while stocks last
*terms and conditions apply, no guarantee of stomp and/or fun can be given

Remember to not use Bubba Strats against these people, apperently it's not a valid strat and is considered as trolling

We want to learn, not be held at our naturals for shits and giggles by sentries... you guys were stomping, and thats fine, but when you take the piss, what exactly are we going to learn? 90% of the engagements were already being won by you (and thats when you were handicapped), you were already able to put ludicrous amounts of pressure on, were sentries really needed?

So you're refusing to learn unless your opponent is using the current meta strat?

/sigh
Alright, fine, have it your way, i'll reply...
As I explained to zafod privately I had no issue with the strat itself, I understand the strat and I also understand the counter.
Let me set the scene, you guys were stomping us with handicap 25% and pinned us in our naturals (which we couldn't hold)... we had 1 RT and near enough no Tres, (so far, there is no complaint by the way, I expect to be stomped and its fine.)... so to get out of this we have to have 5 skulks engage 2 marines, or we lose the engagement... even with 5 skulks we still lost engagements ("L2P", ikr! that's why we're here)... in most situations (like we did against chams) we will continue to play and try to improve, because, you know... we shouldn't be losing those engagements, and the reason we're playing much stronger teams is to improve.
Here is the issue, when we DO manage to win those engagements, we should be able to take advantage of the fact that we won the engagement, but there are sentries being built, we can't sack a skulk to get a gorge because if we do we don't have the 5 skulks needed to win an engagement and even if we COULD sack for a gorge we have no way of getting bile bomb up anytime soon because we have 1RT and near enough no Tres... so we are effectively caged in, we cannot get past lanes, we can barely win engagements and you guys pour salt into the wounds by taking away what little feeling of achievement we "may" get... if we want to practice engagements only, we'd ask for drill opponents.
Yeah, its a legit strat that works, but so is doing a relocate on summit... but against a clearly much weaker team doing that just plain sucks. its trolly (notice how I didn't say a "troll strat")... the idea for us is that we want to learn and be given the chance to actually learn with feedback etc, not to stroke your already over-inflated egos.
We want people that will actually try to help us improve, not people that just want to stomp for an hour and BM. "If you can't learn shit yourself and require handholding then rip"... great argument, when learning another language do we not seek out people that already speak the language? when learning an instrument do we not get aid from a tutor or books?... the fastest way to learn is to have people that are already good at "X" guide you.
I eagerly await the inevitable "boo hoo, l2p"/"tl:dr" themed comments that will surely follow this post.

I get what you're saying. My advise would be to just call gg and not prolong the inevitable. Try to work on not getting into these kind of situations.

Then is it so hard to just say "hey, could we replay the round without sentrys instead?" instead of ragequitting and calling us trolls? Thats just fucking rude

I know my reaction was a little extreme, i'd had a really shitty day, and that just made it so much worse. I do apologize for the way I responded and yeah there are way better ways to deal with it, in future I will try to keep a cool head.

Seriously Kash?
You really thought I put together a mix to stomp you for the lulz and stroke my already inflated ego?
Actually, I wanted to play a game with Bubba, and since he's still banned on the NSL from gathers a mix was the only way to do it. And, because I read your post in the forums asking for people to play you, I decided you guys would be willing to play ASAP so I wouldn't have to wait a few hours to get ahold of another team.
My memory may be pretty bad, but please do tell me who bmd you during our game, because I'm pretty sure no one did. Bubba strats with sentries are not trolly, they are just different than standard meta. You say you want feedback, but you alt f4 (notice it was just you, not the rest of your team) instead of asking for it when you see something you dislike.
By the way, without sentries we would have had much quicker upgrades, so I don't know why you think that sentries were the thing keeping you from having an enjoyable, potentially winnable game. You could have won against the sentry strat as well had you not raged. But next time you make a post like this, indicate you only want to play a standard meta game so you don't waste everyone's time by rage quitting mid round.
No clue where you are going with this but:
1. Commander has no tres and 1 rt, why is he in the hive? This would give you 6 on the field. Or 5 and a gorge? You know a gorge can spit and heal hurt skulks?
2. So you clear 2 marines, but you can't get past because sentries are already up? Dude its already gg then. Work on engagements or ambushing but the game is already over at that point. GG, start a new round, try to prevent it from happening again.
3. So you're looking for achievement, you cleared 2 marines? Idk what you're expecting here, to bite down all their res? Any good team is going to do whatever they can to prevent that.
From what I've read you guys played a significantly better team that was handicapped, then got annoyed because they're trying to win? If you guys are getting really frustrated from getting stomped why would you play against that team?
Back in season 5 when i was on nanobytes (div 4) we played against legendary whales/lucky chams multiple times a week for like nearly a month and were getting our shit constantly kicked in. Just like you we rarely got out of our naturals. But slowly by slowly we got better at ambushing, engaging, not dieing as often and slowly managed to make the games somewhat close. It was frustrating yes but it made us in general much better players.
If its a problem where you guys literally cannot get out of naturals you clearly need to play either worse teams or work on engagements and ambushing. If you do chose to play against good teams don't expect them to gift you the game or intentionally allow you to bypass and stay alive?

Maybe if you can't even get to your naturals and have marines camping there it's time to gg and start a new round?
Or sure get frustrated trying to kill sentries that works too....

Why are people still going over this?
I've explained the reason behind the reaction, I've apologized and admitted that I could have handled things way better... I can't change what happened so can we move on please?
